About The CEO

JLH Services is owned and operated by its principal and CEO, Janis L Holloway.  Ms. Holloway is a seasoned marketing, communications and client services professional that brings over 28 years of creative business experience to the company.  She has a proven track record of conducting informative and decisive market research projects, successfully strategizing and implementing marketing and public relations plans, and is well versed in communicating with news media, legislators and corporate professionals alike.  Janis is respected as an accomplished, smart and charismatic professional who effectuates positive change for her clients, organizations, and the community in general.

With a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry, Janis was employed by a Fortune 500 chemical company and has extensive experience in the scientific arena where she honed her skills in research and research development.  She also learned the importance of developing a methodology along with a scientific approach to problem solving.

Janis worked in the financial services field as an officer and marketing/client services consultant for two emerging institutional asset management/brokerage research firms.  While there, she developed marketing strategies, client services, public relations and market research for the firms.   She also extensively handled client contact and marketing with regard to developing the firm’s investment publications, various brochures, presentations and marketing materials.

Ms. Holloway thrived in the Press Office for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Revenue.  During that time, she was accountable for the collection, assembly and preparation of department  information for release to the appropriate audiences (i.e. news media, professional groups, tax practitioners, legislature, employees and general public); she also developed news releases and media advisories to explain department activities; reviewed and identified news stories that pertained to the department while evaluating its potential impact; wrote copy for and aided in the designing of booklets, brochures, newsletters (internal and external), presentations, Web site content and other informational materials.  Janis worked directly with legislators and news media alike, and has developed relationships that exist to this day.

While with the department, Janis was assigned the project of developing and expanding the Pennsylvania Lottery’s “Winner Awareness” and “Lottery Proceeds” section on their Web site.  While traveling throughout the Commonwealth, she took photos and wrote short stories about winners and detailed on how the proceeds of the Lottery are used, specifically, supporting services for Older Pennsylvanians.  This posted information on the Web site was credited as one of the major keys that contributed to increased Lottery sales. As a longtime participant in Philadelphia politics, Ms. Holloway has worked on local, state and national campaigns in many capacities.  It has been and continues to be an important focus in her activities.
